- 2 C. morels
- 1 C. bread crumbs
- 2 hard-boiled egg yolks
- 2 raw egg yolks
- 1 C. milk or cream
- 4 T. butter, melted
- Salt
- Pepper
Methods/steps
- Chop morels.
- Brush the bottom of a baking dish with 1 T. butter, then 3/4 C. bread crumbs, then a layer of mushrooms.
- Pour on egg mixture.
- Add a top layer of the remaining bread crumbs and drizzle with remaining butter.
- Bake for 20 minutes, closely covered in a hot oven. Uncover and cook for 5 more minutes, until top is well browned.
